The workroom is where I do my drawing, as well as final painting on sculptures. It’s also the dumping ground of items of obsession that aren’t classy enough to populate the more public parts of the house. I have a two-car garage that serves as woodworking shop, mosaic assembly area, and material storage zone. That’s where I get really messy. I have SO much fabulous (worthless to anyone but me) stuff out there that it’s always a thrill to poke around. One of the great pleasures of getting older is memory loss – I find all sorts of wonderful things I forgot I had, and get thrilled all over again.
